What holds us back from accomplishing what we know we are capable of achieving, or living the life that we have always imagined? What self-limiting beliefs do we tell ourselves that keeps us from becoming everything we desire?
Albert Einstein has been credited with saying, "The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking."
We are here in this moment, at this exact time, with our lives being what they are because of the choices that we have made. Every decision we have ever made or every decision we will ever make, is the result of a single thought. Our thoughts are the most powerful tools we have, so why aren't we using them to our advantage?
Why are some people “successful” and others are not? (Successful being in quotes due to the subjective nature of success to each individual.) For the purpose of this conversation, we will define successful as living the life you have always imagined. Whatever that may be. Having enough money so you don’t worry about having the ability to pay your bills. Having enough time to spend it with those you love. Improving the connection within your relationships with those close to you.
What is the one thing that separates those who live the life they have imagined, from those who don’t? The way they THINK! Successful people think differently than unsuccessful people. Successful people understand the impact of their thoughts on their feelings and emotions, and how these feelings and emotions create habits that lead to desired outcomes.
We cannot control everything that happens to us, or the way people treat us, but we can control how we respond. Our thoughts are extremely powerful and learning how to acknowledge them and use to them our advantage is an extremely useful skill to master.
Successful people embrace positive thinking habits as a lifestyle and understand the relationship between their level of thinking and their level of progress. Successful people understand that to change their lives, they have to change their thinking.
We are here today as a result of choices we have made in our past. What choices will you make today to set yourself up for success in the future? Whatever that choice is, choose your thoughts wisely.
